Every Wednesday, throughout the ski season, we are offering cooking classes with nationally acclaimed and award winning Chef, Chris Maher. Chris heads Cooking Studio TAOS - a  teaching and food consortium - where people are encouraged to play with their food! Cuisines taught will vary from New Mexican to Italian, Moroccan to East Indian and everything in between. Classes are 100% hands on participation and learning, lasting approximately three hours and ending with a beautiful, seated meal of the recipes you have all created together. Students have fun and walk away having learned recipes, technique and theory. Fees include recipes, food and beverages.

Shuttles will leave from the Taos Ski Valley at 1pm. Your shuttle service, Taos Shuttle, will take you in comfort to Chris Mahers home in Taos for a cooking experience you will cherish forever.

Class Schedule

Dec. 23rd:   Hearty Winter Soups - Three delicious soups and accompanying Crusty Bread and salad, perfect to enjoy during the winter season! Roasted Bell Pepper Soup with Polenta Croutons, a Carrot, Parsnip and Ginger Soup and a Classic French Onion Soup.  

Dec. 30th:   Elegant Food to serve on the Eve of the New Year - This class will wow your guests for years to come, and make it a cinch for you to create!  Recipes include Chataubriand with Bearnaise Sauce and Lacquered Salmon as the entrees and side dishes and dessert to accompany.

Cooking Class Fee - $115.00
Fees include recipes, food and beverage and transport to and from the Cooking Studio.

Trip Details
Guests attending this excursion need to meet at the Visitor Centre offices before 1pm. Shuttle leaves at 1:00pm.
Shuttle returns to the Guard Shack at approximately 5.30pm. Spaces are limited.
Gratuities are not included.

Cooking Studio Taos

Cooking classes with Chef Chris Maher. Pass recipient of six 4-Diamond Culinary Awards and James Beard recognized chef. Classes are 100% hands on participation and learning.
